OUR CONTINENT

During this last month, 6th graders have been learning about our continent Europe. They have learned about its countries, its borders and its landforms.

To represent the Europe's main landforms we have done some maps with plasticine, do you want to see them and learn a little more about our continent?

Europe is one of the world‟s seven continents. It covers only 7% of the Earth’s land surface, but about 11% of the world‟s population lives there.
Europe is well defined by water to the North, West and South. Europe stretches all the way from the Arctic in the north to the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar in the south, and from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Ural Mountains (in Russia) in the east. It has many rivers, lakes and mountain ranges.
